About Temple Seven
The public domain, kept open.
Temple Seven is a free archive of public-domain books and newspapers. We keep the original sources free to read, enhance them through our T7P process, and give readers Loom — a place to build investigations from them.
What we do
Three things. Archive. We gather original public-domain scans — from the Internet Archive, Project Gutenberg, the Library of Congress, and reader requests — and make them free to read online, searchable to the page. Books and newspapers alike. Enhance. Our T7P process cleans the scan, rebuilds the text, and typesets an enhanced Temple Seven edition, offered as a PDF, an ebook, and a print-on-demand paperback. The original voice stays intact; the presentation gets the care the book deserved the first time. Loom. Investigations built on the archive: pin pages, quotes, and claims, connect them, and present what you found. Temple Seven Press also publishes new work by living authors.
How we find books
We work across the public domain — philosophy, history, religion, mythology, esoterica, fiction, science, and anything else that is out of copyright. Candidates come from a mix of sources: Internet Archive, Project Gutenberg, suggestions from readers, and our own research into what's worth bringing back. Anything we add has to clear two bars: it has to be in the public domain, and the source scan has to be clean enough to read. If both check out, it joins the archive. Readers can request a specific title at /request-book. If it's public domain and we can source a clean scan, we'll move it up.
Print & digital editions
Every title is free to read as the original scan. The enhanced Temple Seven edition is offered as a perfect-bound paperback printed on demand and shipped tracked, and as a PDF that mirrors the printed edition exactly. Each book page lists what's available — some PDFs are free, some are paid, and members get the in-browser reader on top of either.
Membership
Three optional memberships support the archive and unlock extras. Plus brings the in-browser PDF and EPUB readers — highlights, notes, search, dark mode, reading position synced across devices — plus downloads of the enhanced Temple Seven edition, 200 bookmarks, and Loom investigations. Premium adds room: 400 bookmarks and larger investigations. Ultimate adds the AI research assistant and AI Workspaces. See /subscribe for current pricing.
Gift cards
A Temple Seven gift card lets the recipient pick whichever titles speak to them. Delivered by email with a redemption code that applies at checkout — codes never expire and roll over across multiple orders. Buy one at /gift.
Affiliate program
Writers, podcasters, and reviewers who cover the kind of work we publish can apply to the Temple Seven Affiliate Program at /affiliate-program. Approved affiliates get a personal promo code that gives their audience a discount and pays them a share of the profit on every order — tiered up the more they sell.
