This Cookie Policy explains how Temple Seven Press, Inc. ("Temple Seven," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on www.templeseven.com (the "Services"), and how you can control them. This Policy forms part of, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow a site to recognize your device, remember your preferences, and collect information about how the site is used. We also use browser local storage for the same purposes, which we refer to collectively as "cookies" in this Policy.

2. Our Cookie Consent Model

We use a simple, binary consent model. When you first visit the Services, a banner asks you to choose "Essential Only" or "Accept All." Your choice is stored for three hundred and sixty-five (365) days in a cookie named t7_consent and in browser local storage, and you can change it at any time using "Manage Cookies" in the site footer. Choosing "Essential Only" disables Google Analytics; strictly necessary cookies remain active either way because the Services cannot function without them.

3. Strictly Necessary Cookies (Always Active)

  • Authentication — set by Firebase Authentication to keep you signed in to your Account.
  • Cart — remembers items in your cart between pages and visits.
  • Consent state (t7_consent) — records your cookie banner choice so we don't ask again for 365 days.
  • Checkout — session cookies set by Stripe on checkout pages for payment processing and fraud prevention.

Because these cookies are essential to the Services' operation, they are not subject to the opt-out described above, consistent with applicable e-privacy law.

4. Analytics Cookies (Opt-In Only)

If you choose "Accept All," we activate Google Analytics (delivered via Firebase Analytics) to help us understand how visitors use the Services — including which titles are read or purchased most and how visitors navigate the site — so we can improve performance and content. This activates only after your affirmative consent and is disabled by default. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising purposes, and no advertising identifiers are shared as part of this integration.

5. No Advertising or Marketing Cookies

We do not use advertising, retargeting, or marketing cookies of any kind, and we do not run advertising or marketing pixels on the Services. If this changes in the future, we will update this Policy and add the relevant opt-in/opt-out controls before doing so.

6. Third-Party Cookies

The only third-party cookies used on the Services are those set by Stripe on checkout pages (for payment processing and fraud prevention) and, where you have opted in, Google Analytics. Each of these third parties processes cookie data in accordance with its own privacy and cookie practices, which we encourage you to review.

7. Your Choices

  • Cookie banner: Choose "Essential Only" or "Accept All" when you first visit, and change your choice at any time via "Manage Cookies" in the site footer.
  • Browser controls: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Doing so may affect the functionality of the Services, including your ability to stay logged in or complete checkout.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): As a precaution, we detect and honor the GPC signal, where supported by your browser, even though our current practices do not involve the sale or sharing of personal information.

8. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for legal or regulatory reasons. The "Last Updated" date above indicates when this Policy was last revised.
