Refund Policy

This Refund Policy describes when Temple Seven Press, Inc. ("Temple Seven," "we," "us," or "our") will provide a refund or replacement for purchases made through www.templeseven.com. This Policy forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms and Conditions.

1. General Rule: All Sales Are Final

Because Digital Products are delivered instantly and Print Products are manufactured to order specifically for you, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, mistaken purchase, or dissatisfaction with the content or subject matter of a Source Work. Refunds and replacements are available only in the specific circumstances described below.

2. When We Will Replace or Refund Your Order

• Damaged, defectively bound, or misprinted Print Products.
• Print Products that are the wrong title, wrong edition, or otherwise materially different from what you ordered.
• Print Products confirmed by tracking as undelivered, where the shipping address you provided was correct (tracked shipping methods only — see Section 2.1 for Standard Mail).
• Digital Product files that are corrupted or will not open using standard, current software for the format purchased.
• Any order where our print fulfillment partner fails to complete production — in this case, you receive an automatic full refund without needing to request one.

Minor imperfections inherent to republishing historical public-domain works — such as occasional OCR artifacts, spacing irregularities, or characteristics carried over from the original historical source — are not defects and are not eligible for a refund or replacement on that basis alone.

2.1 Untracked Shipping (Standard Mail)

For qualifying small orders, we offer an optional lower-cost shipping method, Standard Mail, which does not include a tracking number. Standard Mail is available only after you review and accept the acknowledgment presented at checkout. By selecting Standard Mail you acknowledge and agree that:

• Because Standard Mail provides no tracking, neither you nor we can verify whether a package was delivered. Orders shipped by Standard Mail are therefore not eligible for the undelivered-package remedy above, and we cannot offer refunds or replacements for Standard Mail packages reported lost, stolen, or undelivered.
• All other remedies in this Section 2 remain fully available. In particular, if your book arrives with verifiable print defects — for example blank pages, misprinted or illegible pages, or damaged binding — you may return it to us, and once we receive the returned book and verify the defect, we will issue a full refund or a replacement.
• Tracked shipping options with full lost-package protection are offered on every order at checkout; Standard Mail is never the only choice.

3. How to Request a Refund or Replacement

Contact us at contact@templeseven.com within a reasonable time after discovering the issue, including your order number and, for physical defects, a photograph of the item received. We will review your request and, where it qualifies under Section 2, issue a replacement or a refund to your original payment method, generally within a reasonable processing time consistent with our Payment Processor's (Stripe's) settlement timelines.

4. Print Order Cancellations

Print Products are made to order, and production begins promptly after your order is confirmed. As a result, print orders cannot be cancelled once submitted for production. If you contact us before production has begun and our systems and those of our fulfillment partner permit it, we will attempt to cancel the order on a best-efforts basis.

5. Subscriptions

You may cancel a Subscription at any time from your Account page. Cancellation stops future billing but does not trigger a refund for the current billing period; you retain access through the end of the period you already paid for, with no pro-rated refund.

6. Gift Cards and Donations

Gift cards are non-refundable and non-redeemable for cash, except where required by applicable law; gift card funds never expire. To the extent required by applicable unclaimed-property or escheatment law, we may be required to report and, where mandated, remit balances on inactive gift cards to the appropriate state or territorial authority; this does not affect your ability to redeem a gift card. Donations are voluntary, are not tax-deductible, and are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or at our sole discretion.

7. Statutory Rights (UK / Ireland / EU / Australia / New Zealand / Canada)

Nothing in this Policy limits any non-waivable statutory right you may have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence, including the statutory rights of consumers in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the European Union, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada described in our Terms and Conditions. Where a statutory right is broader than the remedies described above, your statutory right prevails.

United Kingdom and Ireland (and, where applicable, the European Union): For Print Products, you have the right to cancel your order and receive a refund within fourteen (14) days of delivery, in addition to the defect and error remedies described above, because our standard catalog titles are not bespoke or personalized to your specification. For Digital Products, because delivery is instant, we ask for your explicit acknowledgment and consent at checkout that you wish delivery to begin immediately and that doing so extinguishes your statutory right to cancel once delivery has begun; if that acknowledgment is not obtained, the standard fourteen-day digital withdrawal right applies.
