What a workspace is
A canvas where sources, quotes, and your own thinking sit side by side — and the lines between them carry reasoning.
A Research workspace is an infinite canvas. You pin things to it — a book from the archive, a passage you want to argue with, a note of your own, a claim you intend to test — and then you connect them with "yarn".
The connections are the point. Each one has a type (a strong connection, a possible lead, a contradiction, a chronology) and a line of reasoning you write yourself. That reasoning is what makes the board an argument rather than a mood board, and it is what prints in the report when you export.
Everything you pin keeps its citation. A quote knows which book and which page it came from, and one click opens the reader at that exact page with the passage highlighted. Nothing on the board is a summary of a source you can no longer find.
