Sources beyond our archive
DOIs, ISBNs, arXiv, PubMed, web pages, and your own PDFs.
Press Source in the add panel. You can:
- Paste an identifier — a DOI, ISBN, arXiv id, PubMed id, or any link — and the card fills itself in with the real metadata.
- Search Crossref, arXiv, or PubMed by phrase and pin a result.
- Upload a PDF you already hold. It stays private to the workspace's members, opens through a short-lived link, and is never published or added to the catalog.
Nothing is copied onto our servers except your own uploads. A web card keeps the address, the metadata, and the date you retrieved it — and links the Internet Archive's snapshot when one exists. The retrieval date matters: every citation style wants an access date for an online source, and it cannot be reconstructed later.
External sources appear in the report's bibliography alongside archive books.
